Claudine Keenan is Dean of Education at Stockton University in New Jersey, where she has been on the Academic Affairs team since 2006. She earned her Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; her M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition from the California State University, Northridge; and her B.A. in English and Education from Adelphi University in New York. Claudine began her career as a New York public high school English teacher in the mid-1980s and then served as a university writing faculty member at Penn State University in the 1990s. She served as Director of Graduate Programs at the Marlboro College Graduate Center in Vermont in the early 2000s, and then completed a national academic consulting contract for SunGard Higher Education before coming to Stockton.
Outside of work, Claudine has served on local school boards of education and on the New Jersey STEM team for the American Association of University Women, volunteering to organize a number of youth STEM programs every year. She cycles and takes long beach walks with her husband, discusses great books with their older daughter (also a high school English teacher), argues economic and political theory with their son, and whenever their younger daughter isn’t looking, Claudine does her best to spoil her first granddaughter.
