Chief Public Affairs Officer
Janet serves as NJSBA’s chief spokesperson and oversees the Association’s publications, including School Board Notes and School Leader. Under her leadership, School Leader won the prestigious APEX Award for Publication Excellence in 2018, 2012 and 2008, presented by Communications Concepts, Inc.
Prior to joining NJSBA, Janet spent more than 25 years as a financial reporter and editor, serving as executive editor of New York Enterprise Report magazine, a senior editor at Bloomberg Personal magazine, and a staff writer at Forbes magazine.
She is the author of three books on personal finance and investing: The Consumer Reports Money Book, Smarter Insurance Solutions, and Streetwise: A Guide for Teen Investors.
Janet is a graduate of Rutgers University and a lifelong resident of New Jersey.
She and her husband have three children.
