Tamika M. Reese is the CEO and Principal Consultant for ShiftView Consulting, LLC. Her company works collaboratively with educational, non-profits and financial organizations to develop transformative solutions to infuse diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), cultural humility, and anti-racism policies and practices into their institutions.

Tamika brings over 25 years of DEI work into this practice, mostly comprised of experiences working in the education sector. As an educator, Tamika has served as a principal of a high school and a middle school; Director, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction; Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Operations; and Acting Superintendent. In addition, Tamika has experience in the financial arena and was employed as an international banker for Citibank and as a financial troubleshooter and member of the Chief Financial Officer’s inner team for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Throughout her career, Tamika has been called upon to navigate challenging and complex situations for organizations and has been successful due to her collaborative nature and “out-of-the-box” thinking. This competency has been a hallmark of her work with organizations seeking to further DEI initiatives. Her understanding of the intricacies and nuances of enacting change throughout a system has enabled her to leverage this knowledge to meet organizational goals that are transformative and sustainable.

Tamika is currently an EdD candidate at Antioch University in Professional and Educational Practice, specializing in Multi-cultural and Anti-racist Education. She was recently featured in an article entitled, “EdD Student Shifting Views in Education-and Centering Black Girls”. In addition, Tamika has an MEd and MBA, and holds a New Jersey School Administrator’s Certificate, a New Jersey Principal’s Certificate, and a New Jersey School Business Certificate of Eligibility.

Although she officially retired as a New Jersey School Administrator, she has served in multiple interim administrative positions. She continues to be highly sought out to form, restructure, and reorganize human resource departments in school districts due to her depth of knowledge regarding human resource policies, practices and procedures, specifically those related to DEI.
