Dr. Regina Gentlesk Green
Speaker Bio
Dr. Regina Gentlesk Green, is a doctorally prepared advanced practice nurse board-certified in psychiatric–mental health nursing. She earned her Doctorate from Villanova University, her Master’s from the University of Pennsylvania, and completed undergraduate studies at bothThomas Jefferson University and Georgetown University.
A lifelong resident of Camden County, New Jersey, Dr. Green has held numerous leadership positions in both hospital and psychiatric settings, including Vice President of Behavioral Health and Chief Nursing Executive / Officer roles. Her professional focus centers on education, advocacy, and community outreach, particularly in supporting adolescents and adults through her recent collaborative work with the Cherry Hill School District.
In addition to seeing patients in private practice for more than 20 years, Dr. Green serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Course Leader in Psychiatric–Mental Health Nursing at Widener University, where she also teaches in the areas of Gerontology and Knowledge Synthesis. She is deeply committed to preparing the next generation of students to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care.
Dr. Green also volunteers extensively within her community, contributing to the Cherry Hill Public Schools Mental Health Task Force and other professional organizations.
Her clinical and scholarly interests include mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, suicidality, postpartum depression, and cultural /lifestyle impact on mental health. A lifelong learner, Dr. Green continues to engage in research and professional development aimed at improving mental health outcomes through education and evidence-based practice. She will be returning as a visiting scholar again this summer to continue her research with The American University of Rome (AUR), exploring how core elements of Italian lifestyle, specifically culinary traditions, community-centered values, and slower-paced routines, impact mental health, and how these outcomes differ from those commonly seen in the United States
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys activities that promote health and wellness, particularly running, cooking, nutrition, and CrossFit, and believes strongly in the connection between lifestyle, resilience, and mental well-being.
