Dr. Denise M. Lowe is a determined advocate for children and education; a progressive and courageous leader inspired to make a lasting difference and drive positive change. Media and civic leaders often describe her with these attributes, which are well-deserved. As the Former Superintendent and Chief School Administrator of the Asbury Park School District, Dr. Lowe is celebrated for her unwavering commitment to student achievement, teacher quality, and curriculum management.

With over 46 years of experience in education, Dr. Lowe's career is marked by her dedication to excellence. She has taught at both the elementary and secondary levels and has held numerous influential positions, including Assistant Superintendent, Elementary and High School Assistant Principal, English Department Chair, and Associate of the New York State Education Department Office of School Improvement. From November 2019 to March 2022, she served as the NY State Monitor assigned to the East Ramapo Central School District.

Currently, Dr. Lowe is the Managing Director of All Children Can Learn, LLC, an educational consulting firm grounded in Dr. Ronald Edmond's Effective Schools research principles. She also serves as a Superintendent in Residence for the Women of Color Educational Collaborative, Inc., and is an Associate with Ray & Associates, a national search firm that recruits school superintendents and district leaders.

Since 2015, Dr. Lowe has been an active member of the Howell Township Board of Education, recently re-elected for her fourth term on November 3rd, 2024. Her dedication extends to serving on the boards of various community and educational organizations. Dr. Lowe is also a member of the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Suffolk County Associate Jewel.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Lowe cherishes quality time with her family, enjoying travels and spending their summers on Martha’s Vineyard.
