The New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA), a non-regulatory, statewide association of all public school districts in New Jersey, provides support to all our school boards and school board members. NJSBA is here to help you, beginning now!  

NJSBA is hosting three regional programs designed to provide you with important information you will need as a new board member before you are sworn in. The programs will cover a variety of topics and offer ample opportunities to ask questions and to network with other new board members from other districts.
Topics include:

• The functions of a board of education                                                           
• Board member responsibilities
• What to expect at your first meeting-reorganization
• Services available to you from NJSBA
• Strategies and tips to survive and thrive in your first year of service
• Where to go for help when you need it

This program is available at no cost to your districts. All programs will feature the same content and run from 7pm to 8:30pm with registration beginning at 6:30pm. Please attend at a location most convenient for you!
